Alpine Lake to Duck Lake (almost): Group 2/Trip 1: 1.30.16 - 1.31.16)

Photos of Group 2 on the first of two snow camping trips. We started at the Alpine Lake trailhead where CA 4 closes for the winter season. We snow-shoed just over 2 miles to a beautiful spot on the trail to Duck Lake, approximately 7,500 feet above sea leavel. 7 inches of snow fell overnight, on top of a season total of 25 feet
